When talking about successful women, we often compartmentalize that definition of success. More often than not, we judge their success on the basis of their professional achievements or the challenges they overcame on the way to success. In this process, some fundamental aspects of their impact as individuals in society go missing. Beyond the workplace, they have an extended role in their own community and society in general. And when their success is measured in terms of professional achievements, their impact as mothers, caregivers and guardians often gets brushed aside, or taken for granted.

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, we want you to contribute inspiring stories of individuals who are celebrated as both mothers and mentors. We invite real life stories about women in any creative discipline (including but not limited to fine arts, architecture, engineering etc), who have created an impact both as a mother and as a mentor for the younger generation of women.

Stories must be submitted in either Bangla or English, within 300 to 400 words (as Microsoft Word and Pdf file).

Author of the winning entry of the competition will be invited to share their story during a special webinar to be organized to celebrate International Women’s Day in March 2022.
