As an architect, storytelling through drawing is my deepest passion. I think, observe, and collage fragments of my thoughts, experiences, and surroundings onto paper. Pen and ink has always been my closest companion—a simple yet powerful medium capable of capturing fleeting feelings, complex ideas, and distant memories. For me, sketching is a hands-on form of memory.
Since the beginning of my architectural education, I have used sketches to translate my inner world into tangible forms. This practice is foundational to my design process; it allows me to explore ideas freely, understand spatial relationships intuitively, and communicate nuances that words often fail to capture.
The drawings I create are fragments of my life as a designer and student. They are never merely illustrations of physical structures. Instead, they are pieces of moments, journeys, and observations. Each sketch carries a distinct narrative, transporting me back to the cities I’ve walked, the travels I’ve undertaken, and the people who shaped those environments.
Through these lines, I preserve not just what I saw, but how I felt—how I truly experienced a space. In this way, sketching transcends the act of drawing. It becomes a vital way of remembering.
