Ashik Vaskor Mannan is a Senior Associate Professor in the Department of Architecture at the American International University Bangladesh. He has been teaching in the same department since 2006, accumulating over 17 years of experience. He holds a B.Arch. degree from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology [BUET] in 2001 and an M.Arch. degree from DIA am Bauhaus, Germany in 2006 and and got fund from the German Government affiliated Organization ‘ Zentralstelle Fur Arbeitsvermittlung [ZAV], Bundesagentur Fur Arbeit.
As an active academic researcher, he has made significant contributions to the field of architecture through the publication of scientific papers and essays in various books, journals, and conferences. He has also conducted, presented, and participated in lectures and workshops at different institutes and organizations, both domestically and internationally. These engagements have focused on the latest topics of 'digital architecture' and 'Architecture in the age of artificial intelligence'. Additionally, he is an accomplished practicing architect, having received several awards, including the 'Institute of Architects Bangladesh award' in 2003, along with numerous design awards both at home and abroad. His research interests encompass architectural philosophy and criticism, cultural theories, computational and digital architecture, artificial intelligence, and its application in creative design. He is an active member of Institute of Architects Bangladesh since 2004.
