Despite Dhaka being heir to rich history spreading over four hundred years, ironically, the city is left today with very little tangible evidence of its glorious past. A handful architectural heritage that still survive today exhibit a wide array of building typologies of various time periods spanning from the Sultanate period to Colonial regime till Modern Bangladesh. It comprises temples, churches, mosques, forts, Zamindar houses, and many modern heritages and landmarks which are an inseparable part of urban character of Dhaka.
