Aga Khan Academy, Dhaka | SHATOTTO and FCB Studios
This award winning project is a joint venture initiative by Architect Md.Rafiq Azam /SHATOTTO and Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios ( FCBS). The project won World Architecture Festival Award 2017 in 'Future Projects ( Education) ' category. The project has been commended for its student-focused scale and intelligently designed landscape. A “very beautiful” school for the future that “demonstrates clear site zoning and the use and detailing of brick is relevant and sustainable"- as remarked by judges.
SP Setia Headquarter by SHATOTTO and ARCHICENTRE
For architecture ‘borders’ are primitive limits which a true international architect always tends to overcome, specially at this very age of globalization. Award winning architect Rafiq Azam while appreciating the essence of Bengali culture in local projects takes the opportunity to mark his excellence in an international arena with this project, located in Malaysia. The project is the headquarters for one of the largest developers in Malaysia named Sp Setia. It is a joint venture project of "SHATOTTO architecture for green living" and "ARCHICENTRE" where Md. Rafiq Azam is the Principle architect.
4th Earth Architecture Competition _ 3rd prize winner, Classroom by Archisan
This project won the third place by the design team of Archisan from Bangladesh in the 4th Earth Architecture Competition called by Nka Foundation, 2016. The project emphasized the sustainable structure and cost-efficient construction that can be built with earth and other local materials in rural Ghana.
ABODE + ADOBE
Initially a competition entry, ABODE+ADOBE is now to be built in Abetnim Arts Village in Kumasi, Ghana through a design-build workshop organized by NKA Foundation and BuildingInBasics.
